Middlesborough vs Chelsea – Chelsea win + Under 4.5 Goals
Middlesborough host Chelsea in the first of their two-legged semi-final in the Carabao Cup.
Boro had their first taste of Premier League opposition as they narrowly lost to Aston Villa in the FA Cup 3rd Round. They will look to bounce back and give themselves something to protect in the second leg at Stamford Bridge. They have not scored against Chelsea in their last six meetings with the Blues, but they have won every game in this competition away from home which has played a part in them reaching this stage of the competition.
As for the Blues, they comfortably dispatched of Preston in their 3rd round game, as they ran out 4-0 winners. With five wins in their last six games, Pochettino has seemed to get Chelsea ticking again, which we expect to continue as the Blues travel to the Riverside Stadium. They have the edge over Boro in cup competitions, having won both the FA Cup and League Cup against them in the late 1990’s, so history is on their side.
The Blues have reached the final in this competition from this stage six out of the last eight times since 2005, and a maiden trophy in English football for Mauricio Pochettino and the new Chelsea owners will show that they mean business. Despite that, Boro showed they can limit Premier League opposition on Saturday, so we think while Chelsea will win the first leg, it might not be as comfortable as they would prefer.

Maidstone vs Dartford – Maidstone win
After their FA Cup giant-killing on Saturday, Maidstone have to bring themselves back down to earth against Dartford in the National League South.
Maidstone managed to pull off an incredible upset by beating League One Stevenage at home in the third round of the FA Cup, meaning they have a chance to play some of the biggest teams in the country. They have to refocus their efforts onto their league campaign in the hope of bouncing back after relegation from the National League.
As for Dartford, they are sitting in 15th place, 10 points off the drop but looking upwards into the play-off spots, where they are seven points away from. Just one win in their last six games has not helped their cause, and jubilant Maidstone will look to take advantage of that.
We think after the highs of last weekend, Maidstone will continue that momentum and win here against a struggling Dartford side, as they have done in their last three meetings.

Fiorentina vs Bologna – Both Teams to Score
We close this Tuesday treble off with the Coppa Italia quarter-final between Fiorentina and Bologna.
The hosts beat Parma via a penalty shootout whilst Bologna came from behind in extra time to beat Inter Milan in an extraordinary match.
Fiorentina won the first fixture they’ve played this season in Serie A 2-1 back in November and will be the favourites to win at home. Bologna haven’t won in their last two games, whilst Fiorentina lost last time out to Sassuolo.
Both teams have scored in five of the last six encounters between these two sides and both teams scored in their previous respective Coppa Italia fixtures this season. We can see both teams scoring in this one as we close off our Tuesday Treble.
