The prize for winning Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final at Stamford Bridge between Chelsea and Championship leaders Leicester City is a spot at Wembley Stadium.

Chelsea narrowly defeated Leeds United 3-2 in the fifth round to reach this stage, while Leicester City overcame Bournemouth 1-0 in extra time.

Chelsea's manager Mauricio Pochettino, who is yet to win a trophy in English football, will have another opportunity to reach Wembley if his team can avoid an upset on Sunday.

Leicester City, on the other hand, have fond memories of their 1-0 victory over Chelsea in the 2020-21 final but have struggled against the Blues in recent Premier League encounters.

While Leicester City may find it challenging to compete against Chelsea's strong offensive play, their 13-game scoring streak on the road could work in their favor temporarily.

However, Chelsea's goal-scoring form at home makes them favorites to progress to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, leaving Leicester City hoping for a consolation effort.

The final Premier League match before the international break is set to take place at the London Stadium, where West Ham United will welcome Aston Villa. 

Both teams come into this match of the back of impressive European victories, with West Ham dismantling Freiburg in the Europa League and Aston Villa triumphing over Ajax in the Europa Conference League. 

West Ham's dominant display in Europe came after a frustrating first-leg defeat where they were denied a late penalty, showcasing their attacking prowess to overturn the tie in spectacular fashion. While West Ham struggled in their last Premier League outing against Burnley, their ability to score goals was evident, especially when facing Freiburg.

Aston Villa, led by Unai Emery in their pursuit of a top-four finish, also showcased their attacking threat against Ajax despite missing key players like Watkins in the second half.

However, the potential absence of key players such as McGinn and Carlos could prove challenging for Villa, possibly leading to their first away defeat of 2024.

Man Utd vs Liverpool - Liverpool

The standout match of this weekend's FA Cup quarter-finals takes place at Old Trafford, where Manchester United, 12-time champions, face off against eight-time winners Liverpool. 

Erik ten Hag's team secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest to reach this stage, while Liverpool's young players impressed in a commanding 3-0 win over Southampton in the fifth round.

Speculation surrounds Erik ten Hag's future at Manchester United, with rumors suggesting he may not be seen as a long-term solution by Sir Jim Ratcliffe. 

Despite this uncertainty, ten Hag could guide United to two major trophies in as many seasons. Liverpool, currently on an unbeaten run of nine games and with six consecutive wins in FA Cup quarter-finals, are looking to rectify recent results against Manchester United. 

They drew 0-0 at Anfield in December and suffered a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford in August 2022, sandwiched between their memorable 7-0 victory in the same season, which remains United's heaviest Premier League defeat to date.

Despite potential returns of key players for Manchester United, they have shown defensive vulnerabilities, as highlighted by the chances conceded to Everton in their recent match. In contrast, Liverpool's clinical edge should give them the upper hand, and they are favored to progress to the semi-finals.
