Hungary vs Switzerland - Barnabas Varga

Germany is clearly the frontrunner to secure the top spot in Group A. However, second place is still up for grabs, with no clear favourite, promising some competitive games ahead.

Hungary's 59-year-old coach, Rossi, is expected to set up with a back-three. Wingbacks Kerkez and Nego will support the defence; while talented, they have only two goals in 53 appearances combined. Their main role is to create opportunities for the front three: Szoboszlai, Sallai and Varga.

Barnabas Varga is likely to lead the attack, given his impressive form for both club and country. This season, he has scored 20 goals in 17 starts for Ferencvaros, averaging a goal every 74 minutes with 3.7 shots per game. 

For Hungary, he is their most efficient scorer, averaging 0.55 goals per game. This surpasses their second most efficient scorer and star player, Szoboszlai, who averages 0.29 goals per game in his international career.

Spain vs Croatia - Alvaro Morata

Spain and Croatia kick off Group B in what is considered the tournament's toughest group.

Spain will feature Alvaro Morata as their Number 9. The 31-year-old Atletico Madrid forward is a reliable option, averaging a goal every two games this season at the club level, while consistent with his all-time international record of 34 goals in 71 games. In the qualifiers, he averaged 0.74 goals per 90 minutes.

Accompanying him on either wings are young talents Yamal, 16, who needs no introduction, and Nico Williams, 21. While Nico Williams isn't a prolific scorer, he excels at creating chances, ranking in the 98th percentile for assists in Europe's top five leagues, with an average of 0.44 assists per 90 minutes.

Despite Croatia being a tough opponent, Morata is the primary scoring threat for La Fuente's team. Given his consistent record, backing him to score anytime at 12/5 is a solid bet.

Italy vs Albania - Jorginho

The reigning champions Italy will face off against Albania. While Italy might not be the same team that won four years ago, they remain a top-tier squad with plenty of talent. 

They aim to start the tournament strong against the weakest team in the group, Albania. The odds are well below evens for Italy to score over one goal, indicating the market expects goals and an exciting game.

Italy might start with either Retegui or Scamacca up front. Both are excellent options, but the risk of rotation makes them a risky bet. We want a player who can stay on the field for close to 90 minutes. I'm opting for a longer-odds bet here. 

Jorginho, who averaged 0.33 expected goals per 90 in the qualifiers, is also Italy’s designated penalty taker. Combined with his ability to shoot from range, this makes for an extremely high-value bet at 6/1.
