Toni Kroos Over 2.5 Tackles

Kroos has been a revelation since coming back into the fold with the German team. Although all of us wax lyrical about his passing range and how he can control matches from the midfield, what gets taken for granted somewhat is his tackling ability. 

He averages 2.31 tackles per 90 minutes in his four appearances since returning and hit five against Greece in a recent friendly and three against the French in March. 

He didn’t win any in the game against Scotland but this has to be considered in the context of the game, with Scotland going down to 10 men fairly early and Germany dominating the ball. 

Hungary, despite looking poor against the Swiss, should improve for this game. He will of course be targeted by the Hungarians but will relish the physical battle the game is likely to bring. Hungary average 14 tackles per game and hit 16 against the Swiss. 

With the context of victory much needed for Hungary desperate measures may lead to more crunching tackles in the midfield. 

Dominik Szoboszlai Over 1.5 Shots

Although he would be the first to say how poor he was in the game against Switzerland, the Liverpool midfielder will be determined to make an impact this time around and his despite drawing blanks in his last two games, he still averages 1.91 shots per game for Hungary and the Germans will still allow Hungary some chances. 

Greece were able to get 13 shots away against this German side and with a win in the bag already they will be attack minded to appease the crowd, potentially leaving spaces for the likes of Szoboszlai to attack. 

The game may get to a point where desperation is needed and he may bring it on himself to rescue his country from bowing out early, so I really like this line based on what he has proven capable of in big games already.
