Germany vs Hungary - Jamal Musiala

Host nation Germany opened the tournament with record-breaking performances, achieving the largest win by a host in an opening game and the biggest winning margin in their Euros history. Germany played excellently, with young talent JAMAL MUSIALA stealing the limelight. 

He scored a superb goal in the 19th minute, receiving a pass from Havertz inside the box, deftly moving the ball away from Callum McGregor with his first touch, and unleashing an unstoppable shot.

Musiala's impressive performances are no surprise to us punters. This season, he has scored 10 goals in 20 starts for Bayern Munich, averaging 0.41 non-penalty expected goals per game. This places him in the 93rd percentile compared to players in his position across Europe’s top five leagues.

Spain vs Italy - Gianluca Scamacca

Both Spain and Italy began their Group B campaigns with wins, but neither team looked convincing, particularly in defence. Spain's 3-0 victory over Croatia was more challenging than the scoreline suggests, with Croatia creating several opportunities and extremely unfortunate not to score.

Last week, I was uncertain who would be picked to lead Italy’s attack. I suspected it would be GIANLUCA SCAMACCA due to his excellent form, but I didn’t want to leave it to chance. It's now clear that Spalletti is pleased to go with Scamacca, the in-form Atalanta frontman who has scored 12 goals in 17 starts for the club. 

He has also averaged 0.75 non-penalty expected goals per 90 minutes over the past year. With odds around 4/1 for him to score anytime, this seems like a disrespectful price and one worth backing week in, week out for a player of his quality.

Belgium vs Romania – Romelu Lukaku

Belgium entered the tournament with a shocking defeat to Slovakia. Despite the scoreline, the game didn't tell the full story. Belgium accumulated 16 shots and 1.7 expected goals but couldn't find the net. 

They now face a Romanian team that impressed in their opener against Ukraine but fundamentally lacks star power. I believe Romania will inevitably struggle against a Belgium side rich with world-renowned attacking players.

Luis Openda has been in sensational form in the Bundesliga, scoring 45 goals over the past two years. Head coach Domenico Tedesco remains confident in ROMELU LUKAKU, however, who has repaid this faith by scoring 14 goals in the qualifiers, averaging 2.19 goals per 90 minutes. As Belgium’s all-time leading goalscorer with 85 goals in 115 games, Lukaku will be leading the line for the Euros.

Given Belgium's strong odds in the 1x2 market and Lukaku's impressive international record, I'm backing the big man to score. An attractive prospect when you factor he’s a lone striker getting delivery from the likes of Man City players Kevin De Bruyne and Doku.
