Croatia vs Albania

The stakes are high in this game. Both of these teams suffered defeats in their opening games and another would leave them on the brink of elimination with Italy and Spain awaiting them in their respective final matches. Croatia’s defence had been fairly solid prior to their 3-0 defeat against Spain but that performance has set alarm bells ringing.

Albania managed to take an early lead against Italy. The Albanians surprised many by topping their qualifying group. They will not fear their vastly experienced opponents on Wednesday as they look to keep their dream of reaching the knockout stages alive.

Germany vs Hungary

The hosts are in action once again as they look to build on their emphatic win over Scotland. Germany looked menacing as they carved up the Scots at will. They have beaten the likes of France and the Netherlands under Julian Nagelsmann and should put Hungary to the sword here.

The Hungarians were all at sea defensively against Switzerland. They wound up losing that match by two goals despite rallying in the second half. The Swiss finished the game with an xG of 2.33 and managed almost three times as many attempts as Hungary.

Scotland vs Switzerland

Scotland were rampant at the start if their qualifying campaign. Their five-match winning run was enough to help them secure their place in Euro 2024 but that form has fizzled out. They have now picked up just one win in their last 10 and have conceded an average of 2.6 goals per game over that period.

In contrast, Switzerland have lost just on of their last 15 matches. During that run, they are scoring an average of 2.07 goals per game and conceding just 0.87. Their win over Hungary in their first match will serve as a morale booster and they should get the job done here.
