20:00 Tuesday

Denmark and Serbia square off in a do-or-die Group C finale at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night.

The two nations' hopes of reaching the knockout stage of Euro 2024 hang on a knife's edge ahead of their final Group C assignment.

Denmark are currently occupying second spot in the section with two points, while Serbia have a solitary point on the board and must-win to avoid an early exit.

Denmark vs Serbia Prediction

Denmark will consider themselves unlucky not to have taken maximum points from their 1-1 draw with Group C leaders England.

Kasper Hjulmand’s side outplayed the Three Lions for large swathes in Frankfurt last Thursday.

Serbia, in contrast, were extremely fortunate to pinch a point in their 1-1 draw with Group C underdogs Slovenia last time out.

Denmark have tons of tournament pedigree and they should be too streetwise for a Serbia side that have failed to live up to their dark horse tag thus far.

Denmark vs Serbia Betting Tips

Tip: Over 4.5 Cards @ 6/4 PaddyPower

Given the magnitude of this match for both sides, the over 4.5 match cards angle stands out at 6/4 on Betfair .

It was a somewhat ill-tempered affair when Serbia scrambled their way to a point against Slovenia, with six cards being flashed, four of which were in the direction of the Serbians.

Given that the pressure will be ramped up in this game, referee Francois Letexier could be set for a busy evening.

While the French whistler's most recent seasonal average was 4.3 cards per-game, I’m prepared to look beyond that here given the circumstances.

Neither side will hesitate to revert to the game’s dark arts to protect their in-play position in the group, making the 6/4 for over 4.5 cards an appealing prospect.

Tip: Christian Eriksen to be fouled once or more @13/10 PaddyPower

As for a player-based selection, there is an attractive 13/10 on PaddyPower for Denmark’s Christian Eriksen to be fouled just once during this crunch clash. The Red and Whites playmaker was fouled three times against Slovenia, and he should find himself on the receiving end of more rough treatment against the Eagles on Tuesday night.
