Onana to score & Tielemans assist

With Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz moving in the summer, the signing of former Everton midfielder Onana was a welcomed one, filling that void in those central areas for Villa. He may not be the technician of Douglas Luiz, but he certainly improves on Villas physicality in that midfield.

This season, Villa have been working hard on the training ground with set piece routines, adding another dimension to their attack. Onana seems to be the main target from all set pieces and has already found the net twice in three games from beautifully worked free kicks/corners.

Tielemans and Onana linked up in the first game of the season, with a curling corner into the six yard box for Onana to nod home. They came close on other occasions with other corner routines and free kick routines. Onana then scored again last week against Leicester, with a driven pass to an overlapping runner who then got the ball across the box, again targeting Onana who poked it home.

Its likely corners will be shared between Digne and Tielemans on Saturday evening depending on which side of the pitch they are, but free kicks look to be favouring Tielemans, and with him being a much bigger price, I'd rather side with the Belgian duo.

Not to mention, although Everton are a big side, they’ve been a shambles defensively and have already conceded five goals from crosses and  three headers in just three games this season.
