With only four goals conceded in eight league games, Burnley boast the second-best defence in the division, and while they have struggled at the other side of the pitch, their defence ensures the few goals they score make a big impact.

Preston, on the other hand, have struggled on the road, failing to secure a win away from home in the 2024-25 season.

Their lack of firepower upfront (second least goals scored in the league (seven)) will also be a concern against this defensively strong side.

Given their strong home advantage and defensive resilience, Burnley are well-positioned to claim another victory.

Everton vs Newcastle - Newcastle to Win

Everton have struggled, winning just one of their six Premier League games, and they’ve failed to keep a clean sheet in their last five outings.

Their defence has been shaky, and with key defender Jarrad Branthwaite possibly missing, they could be even more vulnerable.

Despite their recent 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, Everton were largely outplayed and were dominated in the stats too.

In contrast, Newcastle have started the season strongly, collecting 11 points from a possible 18, including a solid 1-1 draw against Manchester City last time out.

Eddie Howe’s men have been clinical, and their attacking depth, even without Alexander Isak, poses a significant threat with Barnes and former Everton man, Gordon stepping up.

With Everton’s defensive frailties and Newcastle’s solid form, the visitors are well positioned to take all three points at Goodison Park.
