West Ham United will be looking to build on their impressive victory over Arsenal when they host struggling Leicester City at the London Stadium on Thursday night. The Hammers secured a crucial 1-0 win at the Emirates last weekend, with Jarrod Bowen’s header proving decisive. However, Graham Potter’s side have lost their last two home matches and will be eager to avoid a third straight defeat in front of their own fans.

Leicester meanwhile, are in dire need of points as they battle relegation. Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side have lost 10 of their last 11 Premier League outings, including a crushing 4-0 defeat to Brentford in their last match. Defensive issues have plagued the Foxes all season, with no clean sheets on the road and 32 goals conceded in 12 away matches.

Despite Leicester’s poor form, they have had the upper hand in recent meetings, winning the last three against West Ham. However with confidence high in the Hammers’ camp and Leicester’s ongoing struggles, Potter’s men will see this as a golden opportunity to claim another valuable three points

Bowen scored the winner last time out and I fancy him to do it again here. His xG against arsenal was 0.92 as he occupied a lot of the game up front.

Leicester have conceded 2 or more goals in 13/14 games which is appalling. With Bowen averaging the most shots and shots on target in this Hammers side and the chance he’s leading the line again (according to predicted lineups) At odds against, it looks a fantastic price.

Alvarez to commit a foul

The 27-year-old plays a key role in breaking up play in the final third, averaging 2.26 fouls per game. In his last five matches, he has committed 3, 3, 5, 4, and 3 fouls, so the higher line could also be worth considering.

Leicester have plenty of players who can draw fouls, with Ayew - who wins the most fouls in the team, frequently cutting inside into central areas. If he ends up in a direct matchup with Alvarez, it could be an ideal scenario for more fouls.
