Matthew O'Regan has three laddered three bet builders from 7/4 to 70/1 for the Newcastle vs Chelsea match this Sunday.
12:00 Sunday
Newcastle United host Chelsea at St James Park in what is a crucial game in the hunt for a Champions League Place. Matthew O’Regan has three ladder bets ranging from 7/4 to 70/1.
Buoyed by their Carabao Cup triumph, Newcastle have been in fantastic form, taking 16 points from a possible 21, with a loss at Aston Villa and a draw at Brighton the only occasions in which the Magpies dropped points.
Things were looking to turn toxic at Chelsea but a place in the Europa Conference League final and five wins on the bounce in all competitions and seen the tide turn for Enzo Maresca. The Blues are now in a Champions League spot, only behind Newcastle on goals scored.

Newcastle vs Chelsea Bet Builder Tips
Matthew provides more reasoning for each part of his bet builders below.
Marc Cucurella 1+ Shot
After initially struggling after his multi-million move from Brighton, Marc Cucurella has made the left back his own and firmly established himself as the best in his position in the league. Enzo Maresca gave him 45 minutes on Thursday in the Europa Conference League semi-final win against Djurgarden, so the Spaniard should be well rested.
Famed for his scraggly hair and strength in the tackle, Cucurella has also been granted more attacking joy in Maresca’s system. The 26-year-old has scored four goals this season, yielding his best goal scoring return in his career thus far.
Per 90 in the Premier League, he is averaging 0.73 shots. In 15 starts in 2025, Cucurella has recorded 16 shots, having at least one in 10/15, while scoring three goals in the process.
Over 2.5 Goals
Newcastle have been strong in front of goal, with only Manchester City and title winners Liverpool scoring more goals.
Their games have been averaging 3.18 goals, with 23/35 matches seeing at least three goals, including 18/22 since the start of December.
Chelsea trail behind Newcastle by just four goals, with their games averaging 2.94 goals. Of their 35 league games, 21 have seen over 2.5 goals, including the reverse 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge.
Dan Burn Fouls
The two sides head into the game level on points and level on goal difference, with Eddie Howe’s side ahead purely on goals scored. This means it should be a feisty game as both teams are desperate in their pursuit of a Champions League finish.
Dan Burn has never been a serial fouler throughout his career, but in recent weeks the 6’7 centre back has seen his foul output increase. He has made a foul in eight of his last ten, making two in three of these. Burn also made a foul in the last h2h. With Nicolas Jackson, who wins 1.19 fouls per 90, while also dealing with Cole Palmer, winning 1.75 fouls per 90.
Nicolas Jackson Fouls
While Nicolas Jackson is fouled a lot, he is also not afraid to get stuck in, making a foul in seven of his last ten, making at least two in four of these. He should be embroiled in a tough battle with the Newcastle centre backs.
Romeo Lavia To Be Booked
Given the game state and the aforementioned records, for the final ladder bet I am also taking Dan Burn and Nicolas Jackson to make two fouls as well as Romeo Lavia to be booked. Lavia has had an injury ridden spell at Chelsea, but looks to have established himself as a starter as he edges nearer to full fitness. The 21-year-old played 67 minutes against Everton making two fouls, while making one in 78 vs Liverpool.
Lavia is averaging 1.70 fouls per 90 and 0.52 yellow cards per 90. Against a Newcastle side who draw plenty of fouls and cards from opposition centre midfielders, Lavia could find himself in the referees notebook,
