Scotland vs Greece Team News

Scotland manager Steve Clarke is expected to make a defensive adjustment, bringing Aaron Hickey into the starting eleven. Che Adams is likely to lead the attack, continuing ahead of Lyndon Dykes. Ben Gannon-Doak should maintain his place in the lineup, and the midfield is anticipated to remain consistent, despite competition from Lennon Miller and Ryan Christie. Scott McKenna is expected to partner John Souttar in central defence.

Greece will be without Panagiotis Retsos, who is sidelined with a groin injury. The selection of Giannis Konstantelias in midfield is a point of discussion, as he was substituted at half-time in the previous match against Denmark. Vangelis Pavlidis is expected to spearhead the Greek attack.

Scotland vs Greece Match Prediction

Scotland scored through Che Adams and an own goal against Belarus last time out in World Cup qualification, delivering on expectations at the ZTE Arena. Steve Clarke's side have now lost just one of their previous 18 World Cup qualifiers, although the Tartan Army have won just one of their last four on home soil. They will take confidence from a goalless draw against Denmark, who beat opponents Greece 3-0 on the road last time out.

Greece went into their matchday two fixture against Denmark on a four-game winning streak, having scored three goals or more in each of those matches. However, Ivan Jovanovic's side were hammered 3-0 in their last World Cup qualifier, attempting just four shots in the process. The visitors were beaten 1-0 by Scotland in March in the most recent meeting between the two sides with a Scott McTominay penalty proving the difference.

Score Prediction: Scotland 1-1 Greece
