Hull have surprised many and sit eighth, knowing a win on Friday night will lift them temporarily up to third place. Serej Jakirovic’s side’s games are chaotic, scoring 30 and conceding 30 in just 18 games.

Riley McGree – Over 1.5 Tackles

A player who has struggled massively with injuries is Riley McGree. The Aussie managed just 11 starts last season and has started just twice this campaign. However, the 27-year-old changed the game against Derby in his 36-minute cameo. McGree ran relentlessly and recorded two tackles. In his start against Coventry, he made two tackles, before being replaced by Sontje Hansen who made a tackle.

His previous start came against Birmingham and despite making no tackles, sub-Sverre Nypan made two. He has made six tackles in 231 league minuets so far, and with grave super sub potential, McGree could rack up the tackles once more.

Matt Crooks – Over 1.5 Tackles

Matt Crooks made over 100 appearances for Middlesbrough in a three year spell – the most he has made for a club. However, on Friday he’ll be donning the Black and Amber of The Tigers.

The 31-year-old was deployed slightly higher in possession in the victory against Stoke, but dropped back next to Regan Slater and Darko Gyabi out of possession to form a midfield three. In this game, he made two tackles, the eighth time in ten starts. Crooks is averaging three tackles per 90 and against a Middlesbrough side who draw a lot of duels from opposing centre midfielders, he should be well involved again.

Joe Gelhardt – Over 2.5 Shots

On loan from Leeds, Joe Gelhardt looks to have settled at Hull. The 23-year-old has scored nine in 16 starts and seven of his last nine. This campaign, he is averaging 3 shots per 90, having 2+ shots in 14/16 and 3+ in 8/16. With Middlesbrough under the stewardship of Kim Hellberg for the first time on the road, they may see it as an opportunity to attack from minute one.
