Gabriel Magalhães has developed into a consistent foul-drawing presence for Arsenal, recording at least one foul won in each of his last seven appearances across the Premier League and Champions League. He is averaging 1.16 fouls won per 90 minutes this season, largely due to his comfort on the ball and willingness to break opposition lines from deep.

This matchup strengthens the case further. He is expected to face Liam Delap, who averages 2.05 fouls committed per 90 minutes, creating a natural stylistic clash. As Gabriel draws pressure while attempting progressive passes, contact from pressing forwards is a frequent outcome.

With this fixture marking the first home match under new manager Liam Rosenior, an emphasis on intensity and proactive pressing is expected, conditions that should bode well for this selection.
