Wolves v West Ham
Tip 1: Yerson Mosquera Over 0.5 shots – 1 unit
Best odds available of 19/20 at 10Bet
One of the best centre backs for shots in the Premier League, it’s not often we get a backable price for Yerson Mosquera to have a solitary shot and so we have to take advantage. The Colombian averages 1.1 shots per 90 across the season with 17 efforts at goal in his last 13 league appearances. In the reverse fixture, he hit the target with a header from a corner, however, his eight shots from open play emphasise his threat from all areas of the pitch.
West Ham’s struggles defending set pieces have been well documented this season with the Hammers shipping a league high 17 goals from dead ball situations and their opponents averaging 4.9 set play shots per game. Mosquera being Wolves’ biggest threat from such situations makes his price appeal and it looks even more generous when we consider that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have conceded nine shots from opposition central defenders in their last five games.
Bournemouth v Arsenal
Tip 2: Adrien Truffert Over 2.5 tackles – 1 unit
Best odds of 11/10 at William Hill while publishing.
Adrien Truffert’s average of 2.75 tackles per 90 makes him the fifth most prolific tackler in the Premier League. The Bournemouth left back has made three or more tackles in nine of his 15 away league starts, demonstrating that he’s happy to get stuck in on a consistent basis. He landed this bet in the reverse fixture and having also done so in trips to Chelsea and Man City, he’s clearly someone we can rely on against the big boys.
With Bukayo Saka still on the sidelines with injury, Truffert will be opposing Noni Madueke who is dispossessed 1.6 times per 90 and Max Dowman will also likely get some minutes down his side with the teenager drawing 2.65 tackles per 90 himself. The last three left backs to face the Gunners have all made at least three tackles, combining for 17 between them and so with Truffert’s record, he looks more than capable of making a similar number.
Sunderland v Tottenham
Tip 3: Over 23.5 shots – 1 unit
Best odds of 4/5 available at Betfred while publishing.
There are two parts to the justification for this bet; the data of both Sunderland and Spurs and then the expected impact of Roberto De Zerbi in the Tottenham dugout. Sunderland’s home games are averaging 23.4 shots per game but in recent weeks, their matches at the Stadium of Light have been far more open with totals of 26, 24 and 34 in their last three as hosts. Spurs’ fixtures on their travels are producing an average of 24.14 shots with this bet cashing in each of their last five, three of which have seen 30 or more attempts at goal.
Roberto De Zerbi is a far more attacking coach than Spurs’ two previous men in the hotseat with away games for his Marseille side averaging 24.29 shots whilst his Brighton team generated 27.28 efforts at goal in games on their travels. The visitors are scrapping for their lives whilst Sunderland can play with freedom and so this should be an entertaining, end-to-end affair with plenty of goalmouth action.
