DFB Pokal Quarter-Final: Schalke 04 v Wolfsburg – Wednesday 19:45

This quarter-final clash sees Wolfsburg, who have been competitive on the road this term at the better sides in the league, visit Schalke. The visitors have gone W1-D4-L1 at top-half sides in the Bundesliga, including a stalemate at Schalke themselves, who have drawn five of their last 10 across all competitions. In fact, the visitors have had a strong draw trend all season, with no other side matching their 12 stalemates from 21 games in the Bundesliga. Four of Schalke’s last eight league matches on home turf have ended all-square, including when hosting bottom-of-the-league Koln, and given only Bayern have conceded fewer on their travels than Wolfsburg this term, we’re backing the score to finish level.

Draw - 1pt @ 141/50

Coupe de France Last 16: Montpellier v Lyon – Wednesday 20:00

Lyon will be looking to return to form in the cup after suffering consecutive Ligue 1 defeats against Bordeaux and Monaco, the first time they’d done so since early September. They travel to another top-half opponent here, but whilst Montpellier have lost their last two on the road at PSG and Monaco, they’re W1-D3-L1 when hosting the top seven in Ligue 1 this term. Lyon are just W1-D1-L3 when travelling to the current top eight, and so we’re siding with Montpellier +0.25 on the Asian handicap, particularly since the league has to be a bigger priority for Lyon.

Montpellier +0.25 Asian Handicap - 1pt @ 5/6

Copa del Rey Semi-Final: Valencia v Barcelona – Thursday 20:30

Valencia could really do with a result here, not just in terms of potential silverware but also to end a run of results that have seen them lose their last five across all competitions over the 90 minutes. However, we can’t see any joy for them against a Barca side that rested Messi in their weekend stalemate with city rivals Espanyol. The hosts have struggled since star winger Goncalo Guedes got injured, losing their last two 1-0 against Atletico and Barca themselves in the first leg. The Catalans have won 11 of their last 14 in all competitions, accompanying nine of these victories with clean sheets, including trips to top-five sides Real Madrid and Villarreal.

Barcelona to win to nil - 1pt @ 27/11
