Brighton v Derby - 12:30

For our 12:30 kick-off, I’m backing Brighton and Derby to draw.

Derby drew twice with Southampton in the third round – eventually beating them on penalties – before squeezing past Accrington Stanley to reach this stage.

They are clearly a side who raise their game against the big boys, and they’ll fancy their chances against a Seagulls side who are in freefall.

Albion have been well-and-truly sucked into a Premier League relegation battle following a run of just one league win in 11, making this competition very much a sideshow for them.

Though Derby have the momentum heading into this, Brighton are still generally strong at The Amex, and with three of their last four meetings ending in stalemates, a repeat certainly looks likely.

Draw - 1pt @ 53/20

AFC Wimbledon v Millwall - 15:00

Sadly, Wimbledon fans, I think it’s the end of the road for you.

Though the Wombles have a very winnable tie against Millwall, I still see them crashing out of the competition on Saturday.

The Lions are certainly no world beaters, and their away form in the Championship has been abysmal (although four points from their last three games on the road does show signs of improvement), but Wimbledon can’t keep relying on a great home atmosphere to get them through matches against superior opposition.

They are bottom of League One (after three poor home defeats in-a-row), and Wally Downes’ men simply don’t possess the quality to continually shock sides. Their win against West Ham was fantastic – though Millwall’s against Everton was also impressive – but ultimately I can’t see past a bubble-bursting away win.

Millwall - 1pt @ evs

Newport County v Man City - 17:30

I think we’ve all bought into the Newport story, but unfortunately Manchester City will bring it down to a crashing end.

Pep Guardiola didn’t go easy on Rotherham or Burton (the second-leg ended 1-0, but let’s be honest, the tie was over), and he won’t against Newport, either.

City to win with a -2 handicap is my final tip for this treble.
