We have a 5/1 Friday treble for you to enjoy!
Werder Bremen v VfB Stuttgart - Bundesliga - 19:30
We’ll begin with something of a banker: Werder Bremen to beat Stuttgart at home.
The visitors remain precariously placed in the relegation play-offs, and with just one point from their last seven league matches, are unlikely to find much joy on Friday.
Werder, who are unbeaten in four at home, won’t have too many issues against a Stuttgart outfit coming in off five straight away defeats.
AC Milan v Empoli - Serie A - 19:30
I have another banker in Italy, this time for Milan to beat Empoli at San Siro.
Gennaro Gattuso’s men have lost just once in 12 Serie A matches, and should brush aside an Empoli outfit who are winless on the road – procuring just four points from their 11 matches.
13 places separate these two sides, and with Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek scoring goals for fun, I don’t give Empoli much of a prayer.
Strasbourg v Lille - Ligue 1 - 19:45
My final pick is where the value comes into play, and I think it’s a corker: Lille to beat Strasbourg away from home.
The visitors have won their last five away matches – Montpellier and Marseille amongst the victims; two of the league’s stronger sides – which is why 9/5 is a fantastic price.
It’s not just away from home where Lille have shone in recent weeks; Les Dogues have won five of their last six in Ligue 1, and are rightfully occupying 2nd place.
Strasbourg, who are in with an outside shot of securing Europa League football next season, have just one point from their last three matches. They are by no means a soft touch, but with the form Lille are in, the hosts are rightly underdogs.
9/5 is a massive price for an away win, and boosts this acca’s value nicely.
