There are slim pickings on Thursday, but we still have a nice 4/1 double!
FC Zurich v Kriens - Swiss Cup - 19:15
The first leg of Thursday’s double is a Swiss Cup clash between FC Zurich and SC Kriens – where I’m backing the hosts to claim victory.
This is an absolute banker. Kriens – who sit third-bottom of the Swiss second tier – have lost five of their last seven matches, and they’re unlikely to lay a glove on a far superior Zurich outfit.
With so little football on Thursday, this won’t send our acca’s value through the roof, but every little helps!
Valencia v Real Betis - Copa del Rey - 20:00
My second pick is for Valencia and Real Betis to draw their Copa del Rey second-leg.
The first-leg between the two sides ended 2-2, and it should come as little surprise that I’m backing another Valencia draw.
Marcelino’s men have drawn 15 of their 25 La Liga matches this season – including 9 of their 13 at home – which is why I like the look of this one.
Betis have also drawn their last five Copa del Rey matches, which makes a stalemate on Thursday all the more likely.
