Southampton v Tottenham

We’ll kick-off in the Prem, where my first BTTS pick is Southampton v Tottenham. Spurs’ Champions League rear-guard effort against Borussia Dortmund was outstanding, but a lot of energy and effort would’ve been expelled on Tuesday, and I can see The Saints taking advantage.

Southampton have scored in their last nine home matches – impressive considering Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal (ok, not so much) visited in this time. They also have the second-highest BTTS rate at home in the league (71%), while eight of Spurs’ 15 away trips have met the same fate.

Bristol City v Leeds

Bristol City v Leeds is a massive game in the Championship, and also a very good BTTS candidate.

59% of City’s matches at Ashton Gate have seen both sides score, and Leeds’ away games are at a whopping 71% - the figures are promising.

Even more encouragingly, Leeds have failed to score on the road just once all season, while City have scored in their last 16 league matches.

This should be a cracker, and I’ll be surprised if we don’t see goals at both ends.

Plymouth v Luton

Any match with Luton generally involves goals, and their trip to Plymouth shouldn’t be an exception.

The Hatters have scored in their last eight away matches, and have a healthy 59% BTTS rate on the road.

Plymouth – whose home matches have seen both teams score a stonking 71% of the time – have scored 13 goals in their last five at Home Park, shaping this one up to be a thriller.
