Why not invest some of those Cheltenham winnings in this 5/1 Championship double?
Norwich v Hull - 19:45
Norwich City look destined for promotion, and I’m backing them to beat Hull City and take yet another step closer to the Promised Land.
The Canaries have now won six of their last seven, and they’ve made Carrow Road something of a fortress, which is why I’m backing them to beat Hull on Wednesday.
The Tigers’ slim play-off hopes ended with a defeat at Nottingham Forest on Saturday, and four away losses on the spin – conceding 13 and scoring just once – suggests a home win is more than likely.
Middlesbrough v Preston - 19:45
For a cheeky bit of value, I’m backing in-form Preston to beat Middlesbrough at The Riverside – which is priced at 3/1.
Alex Neil’s men are now unbeaten in 10 – a run which has seen them fly to within four points of the top six, despite a terrible start to the season – and I have a sneaky feeling they’ll turn Middlesbrough over.
The hosts have won just three of their last 13 home games – which is pitiful considering they should realistically be challenging for automatic promotion – while incredibly, Preston have won their last five away games.
Boro’s last home outing ended in a 2-1 defeat against Brentford, giving the Bees just their second away win all season, which makes this 3/1 shot look a real tempter.
