Coventry v Oxford

Coventry City have snuck to within one point of the League One play-offs, and seem to be ‘that side’ who, every season, make an under-the-radar surge towards glory.

Mark Robins’ men have won five of their last seven, and look decent value at 15/11.

Their opponents, Oxford United, are in a similarly good vein of form – winning three of their last five, edging themselves ever-so-slightly out of the relegation zone – but The Sky Blues have the bit between their teeth, and at this price, they’re worth backing.

Coventry - 1pt @ 34/25

MK Dons v Yeovil

MK Dons and Mansfield are locked together on 66 points, in what’s looking like a battle for the last remaining League Two automatic promotion place.

The Dons host Yeovil on Saturday, and despite just one point from their last two matches, I’m backing them to beat The Glovers.

Paul Tisdale’s side have won three of their last five at home – which isn’t really the record you want if automatic promotion is in your crosshairs – but Yeovil have lost their last six away games (scoring just once), making a home win a massive likelihood.

MK Dons - 1pt @ 51/100

Mansfield v Crewe

The aforementioned Mansfield are my final pick, as they welcome Crewe to Field Mill.

The Railwaymen scored five goals in 11 minutes on the way to thrashing Crawley last week, but despite this aberration, I still expect them to lose to a Mansfield side who are extremely strong at home.

The Stags have won five and drawn one of their last six on home soil (the stalemate coming against leaders Lincoln, who are unbeaten since Boxing Day), and I just can’t see their promotion push stuttering this weekend.
