Though Inter are third-bottom, they’ve won two of their last five home games, and while that’s certainly nothing to shout home around, it’ll be enough to overcome this abhorrently bad Rudes outfit.
The visitors are rock bottom of the table, and have earned just three points from their 16 away games – scoring 11 times in total.
Newport County v Mansfield - League Two Play-Offs - 19:45
Mansfield stumbled at the very last hurdle in League Two – losing their last three matches to miss out on automatic promotion on the final day.
They’ll somehow have to pick themselves up for this play-off semi-final against a flying Newport side whose 10-match unbeaten run catapulted them into the top seven.
During this run, Michael Flynn’s men conceded just three goals, and have lost at Rodney Parade only three times all campaign.
This, coupled with the visitors’ five away defeats in eight, means I’m going to back a Newport victory and under 2.5 goals in this first-leg; priced deliciously at 4/1.
Exiles ‘keeper Joe Day has conceded just two goals in his last 12 home outings, so this pick has serious legs.
