Excelsior v AZ Alkmaar - Eredivisie - 18:30

It’s the final round of Eredivisie fixtures on Wednesday, and I’m backing AZ Alkmaar to beat struggling Excelsior away from home.

The hosts have lost eight of their last 10 matches, while AZ (though winless in five on the road) have won back-to-back games heading into this, including a 1-0 victory against PSV Eindhoven, essentially costing them the title.

Leeds v Derby - Championship Play-Offs - 19:45

There’s still plenty to play for as Leeds welcome Derby to Elland Road in their play-off second-leg, but I expect Marcelo Bielsa’s men to finish the job by winning on Wednesday.

Leeds were excellent at Pride Park, and they look equipped to narrowly beat a Derby side with just one away win in 2019.

Strikers Kemar Roofe and Martyn Waghorn (likely) will be missing for Leeds and Derby respectively, but the costly end-of-season blip which cost Leeds automatic promotion looks to have ended with victory at Pride Park, so I’m backing them to win once again on Wednesday.

Lazio v Atalanta - Coppa Italia Final - 19:45

The Coppa Italia Final is arguably the biggest match in Atalanta’s history, and I’m backing them to beat Lazio to claim the trophy.

It’s been a wonderful season for La Dea, who look set to secure Champions League football whilst likely ending the season as Serie A top scorers. Despite being slight outsiders (which I don’t agree with), Atalanta have won their last four matches—including a 3-1 away win against Lazio—and the stars just look aligned for them to taste glory.

Lazio currently sit 8th in Serie A, and simply cannot find any consistency of late – winning four and losing three of their last seven matches.

It’s Atalanta’s time to shine.
