Fortuna Dusseldorf v Hannover - Bundesliga - 14:30

Fortuna Dusseldorf are a weird side. They’ve won seven and lost five of their last 12 home matches – hammering Hertha Berlin, Stuttgart, Borussia Monchengladbach and Werder Bremen in the process, while themselves falling to heavy defeats against Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt, RB Leipzig and Wolfsburg. There’s no shortage of action.

On Saturday, I’m backing them to register a trademark heavy victory over a terrible Hannover side. The already-relegated visitors have one point from their last seven away games; incredibly, all six of these defeats have been by two goals or more.

Therefore, considering Fortuna’s recent history at home and Hannover’s propensity to be battered, a home win with a -1 handicap looks a strong bet.

Fortuna Dusseldorf -1 - 1pt @ 11/8

Getafe v Villarreal - La Liga - 15:15

With Champions League qualification still very much on the table for Getafe, I’m backing them to beat Villarreal at home – while they hope results go their way elsewhere.

The hosts have been largely excellent at home—winning seven of their last nine—and have comfortably won their last two home games against Villarreal.

El Submarino Amarillo have steered themselves away from danger at the perfect time, but don’t possess the quality to trouble this excellent Getafe side.

Getafe - 1pt @ 4/6

Maritimo v Boavista - Primeira Liga - 15:30

We hop over to Portugal next, where Maritimo are brilliantly-priced to overcome Boavista at home.

Very little separate these two in the league table, but it’s the respective home and away records of the two sides which interest me.

While Boavista have won their last three matches, seven of their last nine away games have ended in defeat; the one victory coming against the eight men of Vitoria de Setubal.

Maritimo, on the other hand, have won their last five at home, including a 1-0 win against Braga, despite playing with 10 men for an hour.

29/20 is tasty for a home win.

Maritimo - 1pt @ 29/20

Celta Vigo v Rayo Vallecano - La Liga - 19:45

Celta Vigo aren’t quite safe from relegation in Spain, but I expect them to beat Rayo Vallecano—who themselves are down—to make it mathematical.

Rayo have been utterly abysmal since February, and have now lost their last eight away games on-the-spin.

Celta have relied on their home form to keep them up, winning their last four at Balaídos.

The last two results between these two at Balaídos have ended 3-0 and 6-1 in Celta’s favour, and I expect more of the same on Saturday.
