Thursday's funky four-fold is currently priced at 6/1!
Chikhura Sachkhere v Aberdeen - 17:45
This one was a no-brainer for me: Aberdeen to beat Georgian side Chikhura away from home, priced at a massive 4/5.
Aberdeen were very impressive on the road last season—winning nine of their last 12 Premiership away games—and they’ll surely be too strong for a Chikhura side who only narrowly scraped past horrific Luxembourgian outfit Fola Esch to get to this stage.
Cracking price, too.
Flora Tallinn v Eintracht Frankfurt - 18:00
Eintracht Frankfurt were fantastic in last season’s Europa League, and I’m confident they’ll brush aside Flora Tallinn without conceding.
Though Flora are no strangers to this stage of European qualifying, there are levels to this game, and I expect the vastly superior German side to show their class and kill the tie off in Estonia.
Lokomotiv Plovdiv v Trnava - 18:30
This next one is interesting: under 2.5 goals in Lokomotiv Plovdiv v Spartak Trnava.
Under 2.5 goals have been scored in 12 of Spartak’s last 14 Europa League matches—as well as in six of their last 10 overall—and many of these first-leg ties are incredibly cagey, which is great for this tip!
Rangers v Progres Niederkorn - 19:45
Nice and simple one to end with: Rangers to beat Progres Niederkorn at Ibrox with a -2 handicap.
After tonking Gibraltarian outfit St. Joseph’s at home last time out, Steven Gerrard’s side set their sights on Progres (who humiliatingly beat Rangers over two legs a couple of years ago in Europa League qualifying), but this is a very different Rangers side.
Progres have lost recent fixtures against Cardiff Met University and Cork City, so this will be an easy night’s work for the hosts.
