The Football League acca returns with an 11/1 four-fold!
Brentford v Hull - Championship
I’ll start off in the Championship, where I have Brentford to beat Hull at Griffin Park.
The Bees inexplicably lost their season opener against Birmingham at home—where the visitors had an xG of 0.01—but a follow-up victory at the Riverside against Middlesbrough got Thomas Frank’s men back on track.
The Tigers beat Reading at home last time out, but with no goalkeeper having to make more saves in the league than George Long, I expect them to be in for a tough afternoon.
Hull have lost eight of their last 10 away games – a run that is set to continue.
Lincoln v Southend - League One
Lincoln have had a cracking start to the season, winning their first two league matches and their Carabao Cup tie at Huddersfield, and I’m confident they beat a pretty poor Southend outfit.
The visitors have already tasted defeat against Coventry and Blackpool this season, and it’s evident the Imps are by far the superior outfit.
A comfortable home win is imminent.
Coventry v Bristol Rovers - League One
Coventry were well-backed to have a good season this year, and four points from their opening two—despite drawing 0-0 with Bolton’s kids—is a fairly solid start. Though they’re playing their home matches at St. Andrew’s in Birmingham, Mark Robins is a great manager with a cracking squad, and I don’t expect that to phase the Sky Blues.
The Gas are winless this season, and haven’t taken three points in their last six away games; they struggled last season, and Graham Coughlan has his work cut out getting anything from this match.
Bradford v Oldham - League Two
Bradford were one of the big favourites to win League Two this season, but a couple of fairly disappointing draws against Cambridge and Grimsby won’t be seen as an ideal start by Gary Bowyer.
However, the season is still young, and I do believe they’ll beat an Oldham side who really do look quite poor, having lost their opening two against Forest Green and Crewe.
The cream should rise to the top at Valley Parade on Saturday.
