Tuck into this 7/1 midweek EFL treble!
Ipswich v AFC Wimbledon - League One - 19:45
I do love some midweek EFL action, and this acca will hopefully be the perfect complement for it.
Let’s start in League One, where I have Ipswich beating AFC Wimbledon. The Dons are notoriously tricky to beat when travelling, but with just one point from their opening three league encounters, it’s shaping up to be another tricky season for Wally Downes’ side.
Town, who have made a fairly steady start, will fancy their chances at home on Tuesday, particularly after battering Sunderland (albeit emerging with just a point) at Portman Road a couple of weeks ago.
This is where Ipswich’s season really sets sail.
Plymouth v Salford City - League Two - 19:45
I have two well-priced picks in League Two next, starting with Plymouth to beat Salford at Home Park.
Much was expected of Salford this season, but after beating a poor Stevenage side on the opening day, they’ve massively flattered to deceive – which is why I’m confident they’ll lose against an excellent Pilgrims outfit.
Ryan Lowe’s men did lose to Newport at Rodney Parade (a notoriously difficult place to go) over the weekend, but they have so much quality, and 6/4 seems too long for a side as good as them to beat Salford at home.
Swindon v Northampton - League Two - 19:45
Swindon have made a red-hot start to the season under the highly-rated Richie Wellens, and they should have more than enough to oust a very poor Northampton side. The Robins play some great, stuff, have seven points from their opening three and are sure to be big players in the promotion race to come.
As for the Cobblers, they have just one point from their opening three, and in my view, don’t stand a chance on Tuesday.
