Spal v Lazio - Serie A - 14:00
It was fairly tough to find lots of value on Sunday, but the first of my three selections is Lazio to beat SPAL away from home.
The home side have fallen to defeat in their opening two matches of the season—including a home defeat against Atalanta—while Lazio followed-up a brilliant 3-0 away win at Sampdoria with a hard-fought draw against Roma in the derby.
Lazio won eight away games last season, and this one on Sunday is theirs to lose.
Rizespor v Goztepe - Turkish Super Lig - 15:00
In Turkey, I’m backing Rizespor to beat Goztepe.
The visitors have just one point from their opening three matches, and were very fortunate to escape relegation last season.
No such problems for Rizespor, who have earned seven from their first three – including a good 1-1 draw with Besiktas.
Goztepe haven’t scored this season, and that doesn’t bode too well for them.
Watford v Arsenal - Premier League - 16:30
Finally, I have Arsenal beating Watford at Vicarage Road, priced at a fairly generous 11/10.
Earning just one point so far this has season cost Javi Gracia his job, and new(ish) boss Quique Flores’ first assignment is a tough one.
The Gunners have won their last three matches against Watford, and they possess sufficient firepower to claim the points this Sunday, despite a ropey away record in recent years.
