Friday's cheeky treble comes in at 4/1!
GIF Sundsvall v Djurgaarden - Swedish Allsvenskan - 18:00
It’s bottom vs top in Sweden, where I expect the league leaders Djurgaarden to romp home against Sundsvall.
It’s all incredibly tight at the top, so the visitors cannot afford any slip-ups, but with 12 wins from their last 15—and five clean sheets from their last seven on the road—I expect them to win comfortably.
The home side are winless in 17, and have scored just two league goals in their last seven.
Schalke 04 v Mainz 05 - Bundesliga - 19:30
Schalke have had steady start to life under David Wagner. A tough start—which saw them draw at Borussia Monchengladbach and lose heavily to Bayern—has been overcome with big wins against Hertha Berlin and Paderborn.
I’m backing this run to continue at home against a very poor Mainz side. The visitors have lost three of their four league matches – including a 3-0 embarrassment at Freiburg before being obliterated 6-1 by Bayern.
Schalke have the quality to dispose of Mainz at home – as they’ve done on the last five occasions.
Southampton v Bournemouth - Premier League - 20:00
Finally, I’m backing Southampton to beat Bournemouth.
The Saints come into this in great form, having won three and drawn one of their last four in all competitions, and they’re a fairly good price to beat a Cherries side who are a little unpredictable, but generally perform really poorly on the road.
Bournemouth have lost 12 of their last 16 away matches, and considering Southampton performed very well against both Liverpool and Manchester United at St. Mary’s so far this season, it’s safe to assume they’re in the box seat for this one.
