Sunday's European offering comes in at 8/1!
West Brom v Huddersfield - Championship - 12:00
Danny Cowley has a big job on his hands to turn Huddersfield around, but I expect their trip to the Hawthorns to be fruitless. The Terriers have lost their last six matches in all competitions, while West Brom are unbeaten this season, though questions still remain over their defence.
I’m not sure the Baggies are solid enough under Slaven Bilic to push for the automatic promotion places this season, but Huddersfield have been so poor I expect a good home win nevertheless.
Angers v St Etienne - Ligue 1 - 16:00
I bet against St. Etienne in the Europa League and they lost; I’m also backing them to fall to defeat against Angers in Ligue 1.
Les Verts have lost four of their last five away games in all competitions, and sit 15th in Ligue 1.
On the other hand, Angers have been brilliant on home soil, beating Bordeaux, Metz and Dijon – and Stéphane Moulin will believe his side have a good chance of beating a St. Etienne side who travelled (and lost) to Gent in the Europa League on Thursday.
Sevilla v Real Madrid - La Liga - 20:00
Finally, the crème de la crème: Sevilla to beat Real Madrid at home.
Los Blancos were hammered in Paris mid-week, and I expect them to fall short against a Sevilla side who have started the season brilliantly.
Traditionally, Sevilla are fantastic at home and poor away, but their four straight away victories is an ominous sign – they mean business.
Real Madrid have been pretty suspect in all four of their league matches—despite remaining unbeaten—but they’ve lost on their last four league trips to Sevilla, and I envisage yet another on Sunday.
I’m backing the hosts at 6/4.
