Greuther Furth to beat Holstein Kiel is my first pick of this Sunday treble!
The hosts have won their last two home matches, and just a single defeat since the opening day is evidence of their quality – and that loss came against leaders Stuttgart.
As for Kiel, they’ve been markedly less successful, suffering defeats in their opening three away games against Darmstadt, St. Pauli and Heidenheim.
The momentum is all with the home side.
Leicester v Newcastle - Premier League - 16:30
Leicester beating Newcastle should be a bit of a banker.
The Magpies were dominated at home against Brighton last time out and were lucky to escape with a draw, but the Foxes won’t be so forgiving.
Brendan Rodgers’ men have won three of their last four in the league, and despite Newcastle winning this fixture for the last two seasons, Bruce’s men look uninspired this year, and there’s only one possible result in my book: a home win.
Cagliari v Verona - Serie A - 17:00
After a sticky start to this Serie A campaign, Cagliari have won their last three league matches—including an incredible 1-0 victory at Napoli—and I have them beating lowly Verona on Sunday.
The visitors have just one point from their last three matches, that being a pretty poor 0-0 draw at home to Udinese, and you have to think 23/20 for Cagliari to get the job done in this one is decent value.
