The show goes on in League One and Two: get stuck into this 7/1 treble!
Bristol Rovers v MK Dons - League One
While the Fancy Dans of the Premier League and Championship have waltzed off into an international break, the grind doesn’t stop for those hardy souls in League One and Two. And thank goodness, it’s great to have some EFL action to get stuck into.
Three picks from me this week, kicking-off in League One with in-form Bristol Rovers beating severely out-of-form MK Dons.
The Gas are unbeaten on home soil in the league, and have kept a clean sheet in their previous three meetings with MK Dons. Furthermore, the visitors have lost four league games on-the-spin, netting just once in the process.
Graham Coughlan’s men—with four wins from their last five in all competitions—will fancy this.
Carlisle v Crewe - League Two
In League Two, Crewe look a decent bet to beat Carlisle on the road.
The Railwaymen are flying, sitting just a single point off the top of what’s a very, very interesting-looking table.
The division’s second-top scorers have a very impressive away record (winning four of their six on the road), and you’d have to back them against a Carlisle side who have fallen to three defeats from their last four.
The Cumbrians have just a single win at home since the opening day, so an away victory is a very good possibility.
Morecambe v Bradford - League Two
I’m confident Bradford beat Morecambe on the road.
Sitting second-bottom, Jim Bentley’s men are at the foot of the Expected Goals and Expected Points tables in League Two, while Bradford are joint-top of the xPTS stakes (and still a solid 6th in the real thing).
Losing nine of their last 11 in all competitions, getting anything from this fixture will be a huge ask for Morecambe, particularly as Bradford have won four of their last six.
