Derby v Middlesbrough - Championship

Middlesbrough’s season is turning into an absolute nightmare, and backing Derby to beat them at Pride Park on Saturday looks a decent bet.

The visitors reside in the Championship’s relegation zone, and haven’t mustered a victory in the league since September 14; just three points from their six away games also shows just what poor travellers they are.

Derby have hardly been pulling up trees themselves, but their home form is starting to push them up the table: Phillip Cocu’s men have now won their last three at Pride Park, while also keeping two clean sheets in-a-row, which will please the Dutchman.

The value is certainly with the hosts here.

Rochdale v Bristol Rovers - League One

Priced at quite a large 33/20, I like the look of Rochdale to beat Bristol Rovers on home turf.

The Dale have won three of their last four league matches (including their last two at Spotland), and after a fairly tough start to their campaign, it looks like things are starting to turn.

It’s the opposite case for the Gas who, after a great run of results, have picked up just a single point from their last three – including a poor home defeat to Bolton.

Their away form also reads poorly: losing four of their six, and failing to score in each of these defeats.

Rochdale - 1pt @ 33/20

Swindon v Walsall - League Two

Last but not least, I’m backing Swindon to beat Walsall in League Two.

Richie Wellens’ men have recovered from a really poor run of results with two consecutive victories—pushing them back into the play-offs—while Walsall are on an abysmal run.

The Saddlers have lost their last five matches, and Swindon’s superior quality should tell on Saturday.
