Saturday's EFL offering is priced at 8/1!
Preston v Luton - Championship
Preston’s four-game losing streak came to an end against Fulham on Tuesday, and I believe Alex Neil’s men will continue their resurgence against a very poor Luton side.
The Hatters have lost nine of their 11 away games this season, while Preston have the best home record in The Championship – winning eight of their 11 at Deepdale.
The mini-blip appears to be over for Preston, and their quality should tell against struggling Luton.
Southend v Rotherham - League One
Southend (the worst side in the Football League) cannot buy points these days, and I’m expecting them to succumb against a Rotherham side who are excellent travellers.
Only Ipswich have a better away record than The Millers (six victories from 10), while The Shrimpers have ONE home point all season. Atrocious.
Rotherham are very much in the play-off mix this season, and a victory at Roots Hall will be seen as the bare minimum for Paul Warne.
MK Dons v Oxford - League One
Sticking in League One, I expect a fantastic Oxford side to claim the points away against MK Dons.
The visitors are in absolute free-fall, having picked up just two points from their last 12 matches, while Oxford are unbeaten in 11.
Karl Robinson’s men have won only three away games, but these have come in their last five trips, so there’s clear improvement on that front.
The visitors are very much my pick ahead of this one.
Swindon v Oldham - League Two
I have one pick in League Two: Swindon to beat Oldham at home.
Richie Wellens’ men have won their last six matches in the league—scoring 14 and conceding three—and I don’t expect this run to stop any time soon.
To their credit, struggling Oldham are unbeaten in five league matches, but Swindon’s superb form will take some stopping, and their class at both ends of the pitch will be prove decisive on Saturday.
