All eyes are on Poland for this Thursday double!
LKS Lodz v Wisla Krakow - Polish Ekstraklasa - 17:00
There’s not too much football that tickles my fancy on Thursday, but there is value to be found in Poland.
Starting off, I have LKS Lodz beating Wisla Krakow in a crucial basement battle.
While both sides look desperately poor, Lodz have managed to win three of their last four home matches (losing only to third-place Slask Wroclaw), and this is the sort of form which should ultimately save them from relegation.
As for Wisla, they ended a run of 10 straight defeats last week, but they’ve still picked up just two points from their 10 away games, which is why Lodz’s improved home form should see them through this huge game.
Lech Poznan v Arka Gdynia - Polish Ekstraklasa - 19:30
Lech Poznan are certainly looking up rather than down, and I’m backing them to get the job done against relegation-threatened Arka Gdynia.
The hosts are unbeaten in six (with three wins from their last four), and are the second-highest scorers in the division.
Arka are the second-lowest scorers in the league, and with seven defeats from 10 on the road, I’m confident Poznan will get their expected victory.
