The bumper four-fold on Boxing Day is priced at 18/1!
Stoke v Sheffield Wednesday - Championship
Stoke City are bizarrely favourites at home to Sheffield Wednesday, but it’s the visitors who are certainly the value in this one.
Garry Monk’s men have won four and drawn one of their last five league matches, and considering they beat Nottingham Forest 4-0 in their last away game, they’ll be supremely confident ahead of this trip to Stoke.
The hosts have lost four of their last six league matches, and boast the worst home record in the entire division.
Wednesday are the ones to back here.
Oxford v Lincoln - League One
In League One, I expect high-flying Oxford to do the job against Lincoln.
The U’s have won five of their last six home games, and this run looks set to continue against The Imps.
As for Lincoln, they’ve lost eight of their last 11 away games, failing to score in four of their last six.
The hosts are a decent price, so I’m more than happy backing them.
Bristol Rovers v AFC Wimbledon - League One
Bristol Rovers are another side who are in cracking form, and it’s hard to see them slipping-up against AFC Wimbledon.
The Gas have won 13 points from their last 15 league outings, and I expect new boss Ben Garner to continue the good work from Graham Coughlan.
Nine of Wimbledon’s 11 away trips have ended in defeat; the two sides they’ve taken points off are Bolton and Southend, so that should tell you everything.
Peterborough United v Doncaster - League One
My final pick is Peterborough to beat Doncaster.
The Posh have been absolutely superb at home – winning seven and drawing one of their last eight at London Road. They are also the top scorers at home in the league this season, which will be of great concern to Darren Moore.
Donny have lost three of their last four on the road – beating only nine-man Southend (who are abysmal even with 11 men).
Peterborough at odds-against is generous.
