Derby v Barnsley - Championship - 19:45

Gerhard Struber has done a brilliant job at Barnsley; a couple of weeks ago, The Tykes looked doomed, but after five matches without defeat, only goal difference keeps them in the bottom three.

This sudden resilience is why I’m backing them to win or draw at Pride Park on Thursday.

Derby ended a run of seven without a victory on Monday against Charlton, and while that was a good result (particularly with 10 men), Barnsley, in their current iteration, will pose a much sterner test.

I’m not convinced about Phillip Cocu’s side at all, and considering Barnsley have held West Brom and Swansea (two much stronger sides than Derby) to draws in their last two games, I’m fairly comfortable backing an away win/draw double chance.

Barnsley/Draw - 1pt @ 8/13

Liverpool v Sheffield Utd - Premier League - 20:00

Finally, I’m backing Liverpool to beat Sheffield United at Anfield and under 3.5 goals to be scored.

Just one of United’s 10 away games this season have seen over 3.5 goals—highlighting just what an awkward side they are to play—and in this time they’ve also only lost once (at The Etihad).

However, as we’ve seen for quite some time now, Liverpool at Anfield are unstoppable, so although The Blades will try and make things as difficult as possible for Jurgen Klopp’s men, a hard-earned home win with under 3.5 goals looks a bet at 11/10.
