The final acca of the week shoots at 7/1!
Mallorca v Valencia - La Liga - 11:00
My first of two picks in Spain comes nice and early, where I’m backing Valencia to register a victory over Mallorca.
I believe evens is a really nice price for this one; the hosts have just a single point from their last six league games, and are currently sitting in the relegation zone as a result.
Valencia have won five of their last eight in the league, and considering the price, they’re worth backing to register another victory against a woefully out-of-form Mallorca side.
Burnley v Leicester - Premier League - 14:00
Back in the Premier League, I have Leicester beating Burnley at Turf Moor.
The Foxes have stuttered of late, but I put this down to tiredness as much as anything else, and considering this is the first break of at least a week they’ve had since Boxing Day, I’m hoping they return to the peak of their powers on Sunday.
Furthermore, their away form is still exceptional – having won six of their last seven on the road.
As for Burnley, they’ve been very poor for a very long time, and four defeats from their last five at Turf Moor will lead Brendan Rodgers to believe his side are very much in the driving seat.
Leicester have won their last couple of league games against Burnley, and I’m confident they do so again.
Athletic Bilbao v Celta Vigo - La Liga - 17:30
Returning to Spain, my final pick is Athletic Bilbao beating Celta Vigo.
Athletic are winless in four, but their home form still reads very favourably, with 10 points from their last four games at San Mamés, keeping three clean sheets during this period.
Celta, on the other hand, have tasted defeat in six of their last seven away games, so while Athletic’s recent results haven’t been outstanding, Celta’s atrocious record on their travels should justify backing the hosts.
