Birmingham v Nottingham Forest - Championship

The best of value this weekend in my eyes comes at St. Andrew’s, where I have Nottingham Forest beating Birmingham City.

While the Blues are unbeaten in three Championship games, their home record is abysmal, with just two points from their last seven games.

Forest have won five and drawn two of their last seven in the league—most recently beating Brentford at Griffin Park—and for that reason it seems inexplicable to me that the visitors are the underdogs.

Bristol Rovers v Coventry - League One

Another away victory up next in League One, where I fancy Coventry at Bristol Rovers.

The Gas are winless in eight, and have failed to score in three of their last four at The Memorial Stadium.

As for the Sky Blues, they’ve picked up 10 points from their last four away games—sticking four past Wycombe and Tranmere—and with just one league defeat in 14, they’re a good price at evens.

Oxford v Blackpool - League One

Finally, I have Oxford United beating Blackpool.

The Seasiders are suddenly in free-fall, having lost five of their last six matches (drawing only to lowly Tranmere), and no away victories since mid-September doesn’t bode particularly well.

United, after a very good season so far, have slightly hit the buffers recently (failing to win their last four), but a defeat and draw in their last two home games against strong Rotherham and Ipswich sides can be excused.

In their seven at home prior, Oxford won six and drew one – keeping a clean sheet on every occasion.

I’m fairly confident Karl Robinson’s men get back on track against struggling Blackpool.
