Inter Milan v Napoli - Coppa Italia - 19:45

The Coppa Italia clash between Inter and Napoli looks mouthwatering, and it’s Antonio Conte’s men who I fancy to win this first-leg at San Siro.

Inter, fresh from their dramatic, confidence-boosting derby victory against Milan, have won their last three matches, and have tasted defeat just once at home all season domestically (against Juventus).

Furthermore, they’ve won two of their last three games against Napoli – most recently a 3-1 league victory at the San Paolo.

Napoli have been inconsistent of late—losing four of their last six league games—and I believe Inter’s solidity at the back, coupled with a wealth of riches going forward, will enable them to open up a first-leg lead on Wednesday.

Livingston v St Mirren - Scottish Premiership - 19:45

In the Scottish Premiership, I very much like the look of Livingston beating St. Mirren at home, priced at evens.

The hosts have won their last five home matches, and just five concessions all season at the Tony Macaroni Arena is frankly superb.

St. Mirren have somewhat sorted themselves out in recent weeks, and while they’ve lost just one of their last four away games, the eight straight defeats preceding this run is enough to convince me this rock-solid Livingston side will claim the points.

Athletic Bilbao v Granada - Copa del Rey

Finally, in the Copa del Rey, I’m backing Athletic Bilbao against Granada.

It’s another two-legged affair, and while Granada have done the business away from home in the cup (against fairly negligible opposition), they’ve lost their last eight league away games—failing to score in their last six—which is why Athletic are a solid bet to win this opening bout.

One of Granada’s away defeats came at San Mamés, and while the hosts have won just three of their last six there, the visitors’ woes on their travels should still enable Gaizka Garitano men to claim the victory.
