Derby v Man Utd - FA Cup - 19:45

In the tasty FA Cup clash between Wayne Rooney and Manchester United, I’m backing both teams to score, at a very generous 4/5.

The Rams have failed to score in just one of their last 16 matches in all competitions, and this joy in front of goal has nicely coincided with Rooney’s arrival.

Furthermore, at Pride Park, Derby have been impressive – winning 10 of their last 15 matches.

United, who will be desperate to win this competition, will go all out for victory, and while they’ve kept clean sheets in all three of their games so far in the competition, only twice have they kept away clean sheets in the Premier League.

Of course, Derby are no top-tier side, but they’re strong at home, the atmosphere will be electric, the Rooney Factor inescapable, and I see them as good value to score, as well as the visitors, of course.

Academica v Penafiel - Portuguese Segunda -20:00

Into the Portuguese second-division next, where I like the look of Academica beating Penafiel.

The visitors have lost four of their last seven away games, but tellingly, the three games they’ve failed to lose have been against sides below mid-table Academica in the table.

Academica have also been on fire at home recently: winning four and drawing one of their last five – scoring 12 and keeping three clean sheets during this period.
