Stoke vs Ipswich

Leg 1: Ipswich To Win

Best odds of 4/5 at Coral while publishing.

Stoke started the season promisingly but a run of just one win in ten has seen them slide steadily down the table. They now sit 15th, 12 points clear of the relegation places but ten points adrift of the playoffs, leaving them stuck in a no-man’s land with little left to play for.

With safety effectively secured and the playoffs out of reach, it’s hard to imagine there being much intensity at the Bet365 Stadium, which could make for a fairly flat atmosphere.

Ipswich, on the other hand, still have plenty on the line. Despite dominating Leicester last time out, they had to settle for a 1-1 draw, leaving them five points behind Middlesbrough in the race for promotion, albeit with a game in hand. That puts the Tractor Boys firmly in must-win territory.

The underlying numbers also point strongly in Ipswich’s favour. Stoke rank just 19th in the Championship xG table, while Ipswich sit top. If the visitors perform to their usual level, they should have the quality to show their superiority here.

Exeter vs Lincoln

Leg 2: Lincoln To Win

Best odds of 19/20 at 10bet while publishing.

Lincoln climbed to the top of the table after a superb 2-0 victory away at leaders Cardiff, continuing an outstanding run of form.

That result made it four wins in a row without conceding, while they are now unbeaten in 18 league games. Michael Skubala’s side are extremely well organised, share goals throughout the team, and execute the fundamentals exceptionally well - all traits that make them very difficult to play against.

Exeter, meanwhile, are in a far more uncertain position. They recently lost manager Gary Caldwell to Wigan and have struggled badly since. The Grecians are now nine games without a win and sit just six points clear of the relegation zone.

Given the contrast in form, organisation and confidence, Lincoln look well placed to continue their excellent run.

Gillingham vs MK Dons

Leg 3: MK Dons To Win

Best odds of 5/4 at BetMGM UK while publishing.

Gillingham appear to be drifting towards the end of the season with little left to play for. They sit 17 points clear of the drop but 11 points off the playoff places, leaving them effectively on the beach as the campaign winds down.

Gareth Ainsworth has struggled to inspire much attacking threat from his side in recent weeks, with the Gills managing just two goals across their last five matches.

MK Dons, by contrast, are beginning to show why they were installed as pre-season favourites for the title. They are unbeaten in 11 matches since New Year’s Day and have climbed into second place in both the league table and the xG rankings.

They remain just five points behind leaders Bromley and will be eager to keep the pressure on. With the second-best away record in the division and a victory over Gillingham already this season, the visitors should fancy their chances of taking another three points.

Salford vs Walsall

Leg 4: Salford To Win

Best odds of 20/21 at AK Bets while publishing.

Walsall’s promotion push is threatening to unravel for the second season running. The Saddlers have managed just one win in their last ten matches, with performances during that run often inefficient and underwhelming.

That slump has seen them tumble down the table to 11th and significantly weakened their promotion hopes.

Salford, meanwhile, remain firmly in the playoff hunt despite a difficult spell in February that saw them lose four consecutive league games. They have responded well, winning two of their last three matches and keeping impressive clean sheets against both Colchester and Barnet.

With confidence returning and playoff ambitions still alive, Salford look well placed to take advantage of a Walsall side struggling badly for form.

The best odds for above four-fold Acca is 13/1 at Coral. As short as 11/1 elsewhere.
