Leeds vs Everton

Leeds mark their return to the Premier League by hosting Everton at Elland Road. The Whites were dominant in winning the Championship with 100 points but needed a last minute Manor Solomon winner at Plymouth to secure the title. 

Everton looked in danger of relegation under Sean Dyche but David Moyes came in and saved them with the Toffees ranking 11th for form in 2025.

Carlos Alcaraz Over 1.5 Shots

Carlos Alcaraz is one of Everton's new signings on a permanent after a successful loan spell from January onwards. The Argentinian midfielder is likely to play 10 in the absence of Abdoulaye Doucoure who has moved on as a free agent. When starting in the league, he is averaging 3.07 shots per 90, having 5,2,0,3,2,5,5 in his starts. 

The 22-year-old has emerged as a real fan favourite and is likely to shine again this season. With Everton's added additional qualities such as Iliman Ndiaye, Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury Hall, Alcaraz should find himself in better attacking positions.

Anton Stach Over 1.5 Shots

Leeds have decided to keep faith in Daniel Farke after rumours persisted that the German would be sacked despite winning the title. In his last couple seasons in the Premier League with Norwich he has struggled so it will be interesting to see how he fares this time around for the Whites. 

While the recruitment in attacking areas has been slow and a bit lacklustre, the signings a bit further back have been strong, particularly the signing of Anton Stach from Hoffenheim. 

He averaged 1.7 shots per 90 from midfield last season and also scored against AC Milan last week. At 6ft4, the dynamic box-to-box midfielder is a real threat from set-pieces and isn't shy to let rip from distance.

Elland Road has become renowned for having one of the most hostile and loud atmospheres in the country, with Leeds fans amongst the most passionate about. With the Whites returning to the Premier League and the Sky cameras in Yorkshire under the lights, expect a hostile and buoyant atmosphere as Leeds look to shock Everton in the opener. 

Daniel Farke's high-octane, high-pressing style of football often sees Leeds get the ball in advantageous areas, which saw them average 7.08 corners last season. Despite the step-up from the Championship to the Premier League being obvious, Leeds should still fancy their chances of racking up a few corners especially against an Everton side who gave up 5.86 per game last season.
