Bayern Munich v Schalke - Wednesday 19:45, BT Sport 2

Bayern put eight past Hamburg on the weekend and after the Bavarians netted five times against the Gunners a couple of weeks ago, this looks a dangerous time to be playing Ancelotti’s men. Schalke are down in 12th in the Bundesliga, but they have showed some improved form in recent weeks as they’re unbeaten in seven in all competitions.

Bayern have won 14 of 17 unbeaten home games this term, though one of their draws did come against Schalke themselves a few weeks ago. That was one of three 1-1 draws in the last six meetings between these sides and so Bayern look a touch short to us at 1.25, despite the fact that they’ve been in the goals.

Schalke were always going to be up against it this term after losing their first five league games, but since then they’ve lost only four of 17 in the league, managing a goalless draw at Dortmund to go with that 1-1 at the Allianz. With that in mind, we’re siding with Schalke +2 on the handicap, while we wouldn’t put anyone off backing the draw at 6.5.
