Goals look assured as Barca try and turn around a four goal deficit from the first leg.
Barcelona v PSG – Wednesday 19:45, BT Sport 1
PSG took full advantage of a misfiring Barca side in the first leg of this fixture at Parc des Princes two weeks ago and now Barca have to find a way of overcoming a 4-0 deficit. The lack of an away goal removes almost all hopes of a comeback, particularly given that PSG are undefeated in their last 17 across all competitions and have scored 21 in their last six away games. The Parisians are expected to rotate back to a full-strength side on Wednesday, so Barca have a mountain to climb.
Barcelona have been excellent at home recently, and will look to carry on in a similar vein after scoring 17 goals across their last five at the Nou Camp in all competitions, of which 11 have come in their last two games. They also scored 15 unanswered goals across their three home group games, so they’re theoretically very capable of overcoming the deficit, but at 10/1 shots we think they’ll fall short of creating history and progressing. PSG haven’t won any of their last four trips to Spain, but having conceded only three in their last eight away games (while scoring an average of three goals per game) we reckon they’ll push Barca hard.
After such a strong showing in the first leg, we wouldn’t put a Nou Camp win past PSG. However, we are pretty certain that regardless of which way this one goes, there’ll be plenty of goals – both teams have been banging them in and four of the five between these two since 2014/15 have seen more than three strikes. We’ll back Over 3.5 Goals at 2.02.
