Back the hosts to put in a 90-minute performance against Wolves on Saturday.
Nottingham Forest v Wolves - Saturday 15.00
Philippe Montanier is calling on his Nottingham Forest players to deliver a 90-minute performance against Wolves this weekend, after watching his players serve up their worst 45 minutes of his tenure against Preston in midweek. The Reds were 1-0 down to Simon Makienok goal at the interval but were thankful to keeper Vladimir Stojkovic for a string of important saves.
However, a much-improved second-half display almost brought maximum points as Forest forced an equaliser and dominated the final 20 minutes, although a lingering sense of debt remains after last weekend’s limp defeat against arch rivals Derby. Back the home side to get on the front foot and atone fully this time around with the Forest/Forest half time/full time bet at 16/5.
Paul Lambert has shown few signs of finding an immediate remedy for his defensive headaches. After shipping four goals at home to Fulham last weekend, Wolves squandered an interval lead at Cardiff in midweek and respective shot data over the past 16 matches would make Forest odds-on favourites. As such, a bet on Forest to clear the -1 handicap at 4/1 is also worthwhile.
With playmaker Helder Costa likely to be sidelined by an ankle injury sustained in a crunching tackle from Lee Peltier four days ago, the visitors capacity to strike back might be vastly reduced. Both bets are dependent on Forest approaching this game with real purpose from the first whistle but the intent should be there in light of the past seven days.
