After starting the season with four consecutive victories, Ipswich have since lost five of their last seven. Furthermore, each of their six wins so far have come against bottom-eight sides. Norwich have taken advantage of this downturn in form to overtake the Tractor Boys in the table and the momentum looks to be with them for the East Anglian derby as they’ve won four of seven unbeaten games following a slow start to the season.
Indeed, Norwich have won their last three on the road, and though each of these came by a one goal margin they’ll feel confident travelling to an Ipswich side that are a poor W2-D6-L6 when hosting top-half teams since the start of last season. the Canaries have won their last two trips to top-half teams and so we’re backing them to emerge with the three points. Both those victories came to nil as they’ve kept a clean sheet in five of their last seven and given five of those six defeats to top-half opposition for the Tractor Boys came without scoring, we’ll also side with an away win to nil.
Ipswich have conceded within 10 minutes in both of their last two at home, whilst Norwich have scored inside 25 minutes in each of their last three away so we could well see some early scoring action.
