Bristol City are on a great run of form, can they keep it going against Sheffield United?
Sheffield United v Bristol City – Friday 19:45, Sky Sports
Sheffield United led the Championship six rounds ago but have gone W2-D2-L2 since then to slip back down to 4th, despite facing bottom-10 clubs in all of these fixtures. Fellow promotion-chasers Bristol City moved ahead of the Blades on goal difference thanks to victory over Middlesbrough and, having won five of their last seven, arrive full of confidence. Moreover, the Robins haven’t lost on the road since their opening away fixture, winning five of nine such matches which included a draw at leaders Wolves and victory at 7th placed Ipswich. With the Blades slightly wobbling we’re inclined to side with the in-form visitors in the draw no bet market.
A large part of United’s recent blip can be put down to problems at the back as they’ve not kept a clean sheet in eight, including a recent 5-4 defeat to Fulham at Bramall Lane, meaning they have the worst defensive record of any of the top six. City, meanwhile, haven’t kept a clean sheet against a side higher than Sheffield Wednesday in 12th and so both teams to score looks a must here as it’s happened in nine of the Blades’ last 10 matches including their last four at home.
Indeed, nine of the Bristolian’s 10 encounters with top-half teams have seen both teams strike as eight of these had at least three goals while four had four or more. Over 3.5 Goals landed in three of the four away games in this spread and as the form side we’re backing a Bristol City Win and Over 3.5 Goals in what could be an entertaining affair at Bramall Lane.
