Charlton vs Bristol City
Leg 1: Charlton Win
In one of the more peculiar footballing stories of the year, Bristol City have appointed Roy Hodgson as interim manager, 42 years since he was last there. The move has angered Robins fans who are confined to yet another season in the Championship without making a significant impact.
City have now just won one in nine, coming in a smash and grab against struggling Blackburn. They are 12 points from safety and 12 from the playoffs, so have nothing to play for – a sentiment shared by Hodgson.
While Charlton aren’t quite home and hosed yet, one more win should see them safe, so Nathan Jones will be keen to ensure this in front of the Valley crowd. At home, they have a solid yet unspectacular record, picking up 28 points from 19.
Norwich vs Portsmouth
Leg 2: Norwich To Win
When Phillipe Clement was appointed as Norwich manager, the Canaries were second bottom and four points from safety. Fast forward five months, and they are in tenth, just nine points off the playoffs. While the top six may be out of reach, Clement will want to finish the season as strong as possible to ensure they build momentum ahead of a promotion charge next season. Of their last eight games at Carrow Road, they have won seven.
Portsmouth come into this game off the back of a 6-1 loss at QPR, making it six games without a win. This run has seen them slide down the table and they are now just one point from relegation danger. John Mousinho’s side have also taken just 18 points from 19 away games.
Burton vs Barnsley
Leg 3: Over 2.5 Goals
Barnsley and goals go hand in hand – the last six away games have seen over 2.5 goals land, as well as 12/17 in total. Only Leyton Orient and Blackpool have conceded more than Conor Hourihanes side who’s last league clean sheet came in November – only their second of the season. The reverse fixture was one of the games of the season, with The Tykes overturning a two goal deficit in the second half to win 3-2.
Burton are a hard team to read. Albion struggle in games they are expected to win but show up against the tougher – beating Bradford (2-1), Stockport (3-0) , Huddersfield (3-1), Bolton (3-0) at home, as well as drawing with Cardiff 2-2. Of their 20 home games, 12 have seen over 2.5, so a barnstorming game should be in store once more.

Bradford vs Northampton
Leg 4: Bradford To Win
Only runaway leaders Lincoln have a better home record than Bradford who have picked up 45 points from a possible 57, losing just twice in front of a packed-out Valley. This also continues on their fine form from last season in League Two where they won 17/23, losing just twice again. Winning six of their last seven home games, Bradford will be expecting a victory to continue their promotion push.
Northampton are ten points adrift so relegation feels a certainty, especially given the fact that they are ten games without a win, losing nine of these. The Cobblers have the second worst away record in the league, losing 13 from 20.
MK Dons vs Barrow
Leg 5: MK Dons Win
Pre-season title favourites MK Dons’ promotion push has hit a wall in the last two weeks, losing to Barnet and Salford, but Paul Warne will be hoping a home game against 23rd place Barrow will see them return to the form where they won four games in a row and were 14 unbeaten. Dons have an embarrassment of riches and are just five points off table toppers Bromley.
Barrow shocked Bromley last week to end a eight game run without a win, with their only win in 15 coming on Valentines Day. However, only Shrewsbury and Crawley have taken fewer away points than the Bluebirds who lost 0-2 in the reverse fixture.
